DeMatha, McDonogh earn national rankings

DeMatha and McDonogh, which finished 1-2 in the Maryland Media High School Football State Poll, found themselves ranked among the nation’s elite as the 2013 high school football season drew to a close this past weekend.

Final rankings from three of the longest tenured organizations were released Sunday and Monday. DeMatha finished as high as No. 19 in the final USA Today rankings, while the Stags were 32nd in the FAB 50 with McDonogh at No. 49. No Maryland programs were ranked in the National Prep Poll final Top 25.
