I knowingly launched this Maryland High School Football Reference website in a rather incomplete state. Over the next few weeks and months, I will slowly build out this site, posting my nearly 30 years of work collecting high school football results, records, standings and history from Maryland programs.
The goal is to offer as complete a site as possible prior to the 2014 season.
By design, MHSFR [Maryland High School Football Reference] is not a news site, nor a recruiting site. There will not be frequent updates other than to the historical data pages. The goal is to have complete records for every school that has played high school football in Maryland, a number then reaches nearly 300 once all the defunct programs are added to the current list of programs. In addition, this site will house the all-time State Poll, All-State teams and state records. That said, this site will offer a few unique items that might not be found elsewhere, such as unofficial MPSSAA points standings updates each night games are played.
I encourage you to check this site often as updates will be made almost daily to some part of the site. Also, if you can contribute to the historical information, or you have questions that you think I could answer, feel free to contact me at the email or phone number listed below.

In 1974 Howard High School won the Class “B” State Championship, at that time they had the longest wining streak in State High School Football History? I know they went on to win their first several games of 1975. What was the final number of wins in a row they had and did anyone ever break that record?
Actually, they didn’t lose in 1975 until the state final. When all was said and done, Howard had a 47-game win streak that started in 1971.
