McDonogh moved into the running for No. 1 following a one-sided win over Gilman on Saturday. The Eagles collected a pair of first-place votes this week, ending the unanimous No. 1 run of DeMatha. Over the next few weeks and months, I will slowly build out this site, posting my nearly 30 years of work collecting high school football results, records, standings and history from Maryland programs.

But once the offseason starts, more historical information will be posted, and the goal is to offer as complete a site as possible prior to the 2014 season.
